At Vero Equine we emphasize and practice the importance of safety around  horses. We want to make riding and learning an enjoyable experience for both the horse and  rider. That is why we start with the basics and teach every camper how to properly and safely be around the animals. During your week us you will learn all about grooming, tacking up, anatomy of the horse, parts of the tack, how to care for the horse and their stall.

Educational Studies -

Every day we have classroom time where campers learn about different aspects of the horses and the barn. Notebooks and worksheets are provided.

Daily Riding Lessons -

Daily Lessons - New campers will start their learning adventure from the basics or return campers will continue to improve their riding skills while at camp, no matter what level rider. Each lesson will cover important skills such as balance and muscle development.

Arts & Crafts -

Time to be creative. Are we painting the horses today or making a collage of horse pictures? There is always something to create especially  when horses are the topic.

Games on Horseback -

Tag, Relay Races, Egg & Spoon,  these are just a few of the games we play on horseback, working on those leg muscles.

Movies -

When it’s just way too hot to play outside movies in the air conditioning it is, horse movies of course.

Free Time -

Spend time with the barn animals or Jump on the trampoline, play a game of basketball or explore 15 acres of fresh air. There is always something to keep you busy during your time at Vero Equine

Games & Other Activities -

Not all games are on horseback. Campers love the relay races; Running through the water obstacle over the jumps through the tires to the finish line. Oh and don’t forget the feed bag races and kickball.

Horses love treats, that’s why we make them fresh. Mix some oats, apples and molasses with your hands and presto we have horse treats.
