Camp Philosophy
Dan Vidlak and Matt Gentry are excited to team up
and provide high-caliber wrestling instruction to
Oregon youth in two great camps. The purpose of
Vidlak Gentry Wrestling Camps is to expose young
athletes to world class technique and training methods.
This camp focuses on both folkstyle and freestyle
wrestling and will provide sound technique in
all three positions- top, bottom, and neutral. An
added portion of the 2006 camps is providing time
to teach important and overlooked lessons on the
mental aspects of wrestling. Topics to be covered
are match preparation, goal-setting, visualization,
weight cutting techniques, and leadership skills.

High School Teams
The Vidlak-Gentry Wrestling Camps are popular for
High School Teams from out of town and is a great
off-season bonding time. Many teams choose to
camp outdoors and participate in white water rafting,
paintballing, and other fun activities after
camp. Coaches are encouraged to contact Matt
Gentry or Dan Vidlak for accommodations and local
activities.
