Washington Sailing Marina Summer Sailing Camp
Summer Address:
Alexandria, Virginia, United StatesYouth Day Sailing Camp
(for boys & girls ages 9-15)
Great summer days spent sailing on the Potomac River. Meet new friends, sail in a safe environment and have fun.
Hands-on experience is the best way to learn to sail, so our emphasis is on learning by doing. Children will be sailing 90% of the time (weather permitting). Students should wear shorts, shirts and rubber-soled shoes (no flip flops) and should bring other clothes appropriate for the forecast. Students may bring their lunch in a cooler or buy lunch at the café. US Sailing curriculum is followed throughout each level. A textbook may be purchased the first day of class for $15 (purchase is optional). Students may also compete for trophies in a youth regatta. Camp confirmations along with necessary paper work will be sent out prior to the start of enrolled sessions. Completion of all paperwork is required for participation.
All camps run Mon.-Fri. 9:30am to 4pm-includes five 6 ½ hour sessions (32.5 hrs).
All camps meet Rain or Shine.
