Come along for a wild adventure in the Seymour Watershed! The focus of these sessions is to have fun in an outdoor environment while providing memorable nature based learning experiences for children. Explore forest, streams, lakes and rivers with professional watershed educators. Discover how all things living and non-living interact in the watershed surroundings through games, crafts, and a whole lot more hands-on activities. Learn how to take care of this land as we use it to collect our precious tap water everyday.

Rising, falling, trickling, flowing: follow water on its journey, and see how it changes. Along the way, explore how living things change too, where they live, what they eat and how they grow. Search the forest for dragonflies, tadpoles, and signs of salmon. View aquatic invertebrates under the microscope and have fun learning how it all works together.
Water Discovery
Entering Grade 2 or 3
3 days
Tuesday-Thursday, July 8,9,10
Look up to the sky and back down to the ground, quickly you’ll discover that water’s all around.
Where does it come from? Where does it go? Come on a visit and soon you’ll know.
Who uses water for watery habitat? Get out and about in the watershed to discover aquatic life. Play games and activities, and find out how people use water too.

The clock is ticking - we’re counting on you,
To help keep our forest and watershed true.
Invaders, stompers, and trail blazers too,
Are causing a need for heroes like YOU!
Help keep our forest from outside attack,
So the plants and animals can keep growing back!
This place is full of surprises. Get your hands wet and meet new friends as we work on projects to enhance the natural ecosystem.

Deepen your connection with forest and streams.

Both will trigger thoughts within your heart and in your head.
