DescriptionBack to top

There are two locations to choose from this year, Kamloops, BC or Victoria, BC. Both camps run simultaneously, offering two very different flavors of Canadian culture, but united in purpose, teaching English.

The ESL camps are taught at SSILCs Kamloops and Victoria campuses, featuring 20 hours each week of English classes, taught by caring and professional English teachers.

Three afternoons each week students will take part in a fun and educational sightseeing or recreational activity led by SSILC staff with English learning as a main component of every activity. Before each activity, students are given an Activity English Assignment, directly related to the activity that takes place that day. Students are expected to complete the assignments while on the activity and hand them in the following morning.  These assignments are considered when teachers assign homework and participation marks.

Both camps offer weekend activities and include a 4 day road trip,

Kamloops:  Sun Peaks Road Trip

Winter Activities: Skiing or Snow Boarding, Snow Tubing, Ice Hockey, Ice Skating, Indoor Rock Climbing

Victoria:  Vancouver Road Trip

Places of Interest:: Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, Science World, Planetarium, Stanley Park, Aquarium, Gas Town, Harbour Centre Look Out Tower

SSILC camps provide your child with an opportunity to learn English, while they develop character, learn valuable life skills, make new friends, discover new interests and learn about the world, all under the watchful eye of trained and professional instructors.

Whether you are looking for something with physical activities to burn off excess energy, or something to enlighten the mind, there is something for everyone, at SSILC.  Contact us today and sign up for the experience of a lifetime.
