Wild West Camp
Summer Address:

WILD WEST CAMP, Monday-Friday: July 18-22 2011
The Wild West Camp is a program of Oregon State University Extension Service and is open to all youth. Sponsored by Marion, Polk and Yamhill County 4-H. The camp is located at the beautiful Oregon 4-H Youth Conference and Education Center in the West Salem Hills of Oregon.
The 4-H Wild West Camp is open to all youth completing grades 4-7 (need not be a 4-H member). This overnight camp is designed to give youth hands-on outdoor experiences like hiking, riding horses, canoeing, fishing, archery, swimming, natural science, digital photography, crafts, and more. Campers are placed with trained high school age 4-H counselors and supervised by 4-H youth development staff. Youth participate in traditional campfire activities with songs, skits, s'mores and more.
Although every camper will have a horse class, there is a Horse Track where youth will be housed at horse camp with more time to learn, care for and ride the horses at camp
