The 2023 Summer Program at Winston Preparatory School Connecticut provides students with the unique opportunity to participate in an individually designed program aimed to enhance academic skills and foster independence.
Students from fourth through twelfth grades from private, public, mainstream and special education settings come to Winston Prep seeking to improve their academic skills. Students come from various Fairfield and Westchester county locations. Enrollment in the Summer Program is approximately 30 students. Students from AITE-Stamford, Eagle Hill, Franklin Academy, Villa Maria, as well as surrounding areas of Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hamden, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Trumbull, Weston and Westport public schools participate in our summer program.
Students are grouped according to skill level and learning style in small classes of no more than eight students. Additionally, each student receives daily one-on-one instruction targeting areas of greatest need within Winston’s Focus program. The program is designed to develop language, encoding/decoding, reading comprehension, writing, math, test preparation, organization and time management skills at each student’s appropriate level of interest.
