Guard Up! 2008 Warrior and Adventure Camps

All Camps involve physically interactive, light contact sparring with foam weapons that have been tested to be extremely safe and all sparring is done under the supervision of qualified staff members. Each session is a week long from 9am to 3pm everyday, so be sure to pack a lunch and a snack (doors open at 8:15am for parents who need to get to work early).   While in our air conditioned facility or on our spacious back lawn, your children will spend the day physically and mentally challenged while opening their imagination to the experience of being a warrior of History (or Myth-ory)!

Learn how to use your sword to defend yourself!  The morning starts with some basic skill building in the weapon of your choice from various lands around the globe:  Long sword, staff, sword and shield, sword and dagger or double sword.  Enjoy lessons, drills and even full scale battles with your fellow warriors as you change alliances, develop new strategies and strive to out maneuver your opponents.

The afternoon involves games of myth and adventure. Role play a hero (or a monster), be a warrior princess, or the villain of the lands!  But none may succeed without using their lessons in teamwork, creative problem solving, communication and listening skills!

NEW!  Each camp session now has a special SIEGE THE DAY where we assemble our working Trebuchet (a replica medieval siege engine) and launch water balloons across our property at a target in the parking lot (rumored to be an instructor with a sword to strike down the offending missiles!).  YOU have to assemble the engine, calibrate it AND launch it!  See how accurate your team is against your opponents... while learning all about levers, momentum and trajectories.

Don't forget, if you register by February 29th you get $$$ off each session!*

*Not to be combined with any other offer.
