National High School Public Debate Workshop: Students develop critical thinking ability and important communication success skills in a supportive, multicultural learning environment. Students learn to: raise vital questions and problems, gather and assess relevant information, come to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, think open-mindedly, test alternative systems of thought and communicate effectively with others. Students learn to speak and analyze issues extemporaneously on a wide range of topics and learn to adapt to real audiences.
