Wyonegonic Camps
Wyonegonic campers select from a variety of activities and with the aid of their counselors, design a program set around goals developed by the individual. Campers are encouraged to try new things in our encouraging environment, but can also focus on special interests and weave in daily choices. Girls of all ages are exposed to the outdoor adventure program. Several canoe and hiking trips are offered each week. Campers learn skills and sound environmental practices that help them enjoy meaningful outdoor group adventures. We have easy access to the beautiful lakes, rivers and mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. Our location on Moose Pond in Denmark, Maine allows us to enjoy our extensive waterfront with multiple swim areas and locations for sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, kayaking and waterskiing. Other traditional camp activities are also offered on our 300+acres of property: tennis, archery, horseback riding, creative arts, theatre, pottery, dance and high/low ropes.
Campers live in traditional rustic lakeside cabins in small groups with their counselors where they foster a family like unit. Deep friendships flourish with friends from 30 different states and foreign countries. Camper ages are 8-15 and the Leadership Training and Extended Wilderness programs are for teens age 16-18. Wyonegonic is affiliated with Winona for boys and both camps enjoy a rich legacy of loyal alumnae.
