YK Pao School is running a Mandarin Summer Camp
for 5-11 year olds on campus in July 2010. The Camp provides students
with an active, enjoyable and structured way to pass the long summer
months, while experiencing Chinese culture and learning Mandarin. The
camp makes use of our school facilities, indoor and outdoor, which sets
it apart from many other local camps. It is for non-native Mandarin
speakers only.

The camp is activity-based, meaning that it is much more active than
normal school life – including more time for sport, art and music.
Classes are streamed based on language ability, so your child will be
challenged and stimulated in a class that is appropriate to their level
of Mandarin. And in the afternoons, we have organized sports tournaments
and trips to attractions round Shanghai such as the Shanghai Aquarium.
At the weekends we have also organized trips.

We offer two 2-week programs, the first program is from 5th July to 16th July, the
second program is from 19th July to 30th July. The content of both of the programmes
is different, so students can attend one or both programmes. Also, we have
students coming from across Shanghai and around the world, including
Hong Kong, Europe and US, so it is a good opportunity for your child to
make new friends.

We have a couple of special promotions for the 2010 Summer Camp.
Students who enrol before the end of March can enjoy an 'Early Bird'
discount of 10%. Also, if you introduce a friend who enrolls a student
on one of our programs, we can offer you a special gift in recognition.
