Welcome to YMCA Camp Wapomeo - the ONLY place to be seen this summer! Nestled on the shore of shimmering Lake Fanning in southern Nova Scotia (25 minutes from Yarmouth, 3.5 hours from Halifax),  Camp Wapomeo has provided the adventures of a lifetime to campers between the ages of 7-16 since 1921.  86 years later campers continue to enjoy access to over thirty acres of majestic forest, beautiful rocky beaches, and natural wildlife.  We integrate the four YMCA core values into all programs at camp: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  We strive to ensure that our programs are fun and challenging, with an emphasis on safety and camper care.  Camp Wapomeo offers one-week sessions for campers ages 7-14, as well as extended 3 week Leadership Development programs for teenagers ages 15-16.  YMCA Camp Wapomeo is a place to build friendships, self -confidence, skills, and the memories of a lifetime.  There is something for everyone!
