YMCA Camp Woodstock

Like any fine camp, Woodstock offers a wide variety of programs in a beautiful setting.

What sets us apart is the Woodstock Spirit Of Friendship. Kids come to Camp Woodstock to have fun and make friends. In the process they also acquire values, learn skills, develop self-reliance, and build character. At this camp these life skills lie behind every laugh, hug, splash, or song. A boy or girl can leave behind the pressures of the day and just be a kid in a community for kids.

Michael Sherman, Executive Director - Our Activities are more fun than you can imagine. Campers ages 8-14 choose four areas to specialize in each week. Play the winds while you Sail or Windsurf. Learn to swamp a canoe. Fish from a rowboat, or Swim in one of Connecticut's most beautiful lakes. Score a bull's-eye at Archery or BB Gunnery. Pedal along remote forest roads in Mountain Biking, or Hike to hilltop views. Sleep under the stars on the Outdoor Adventures overnight. Build and launch your own "sky ship" at Model Rocketry. Create your own tie dye t-shirt or hand dip a candle at Crafts. Bake a soft pretzel or crank out some homemade ice cream at FunFoods. Take a trail ride at a nearby equestrian center during Horseback Riding. Join your friends for some fancy steps at Dance or Aerobics class. Present a mini play at the Talent Show with your Drama class. Sports of all sorts are available too. Learn skills and scrimmage during Basketball, Football, Volleyball, or Soccer. Try something new with some Woodstock favorites like Ultimate Frisbee or Field Hockey!
