It starts with a vision...to be an effective and confidant leader creating trust among those you lead.  The mission of Young Leaders in Action (YLA) is to develop daring and dynamic leaders through action-learning.  This will happen through experiential workshops, ropes courses, team building exercises, white water rafting and stress reducing activities.  If you like challenges and teamwork then Young Leaders in Action is the place to be.

What are your outcomes?  They are  identification of leadership style, increased confidence, team building skills, improved communication skills, conflict resolution skills and knowing how to set goals and achieve them.  Years of experience in conducting youth leadership and educational programs enables "Young Leaders in Action" to teach the REAL skills needed for the REAL world.  Skills that will have impact. 

We know a leader has to have great communication skills, know how to ask questions and get results, know how to build trust and work together for a common goal.  A leader must be daring and dynamic and willing to take action!  We'll teach you the Four Action Roles of Leadership and More!!!

Young Leaders in Action will be conducted by educational leaders who have years of experience in conducting youth programs.  Designed by an educator and social worker, this unique program will bring youth leadership to a whole new level!

Young Leaders in Action occurs in the beautiful Pocono Mountains at The Country Place Retreat with all the comforts of home.  Students will be accommodated in dorm-style rooms with ample room for privacy, teen-friendly cuisine, beautiful property with hiking trails, ropes course and more!
