Digital Film-making

Are you interested in making your own movie or music video? Are you wanting to capture a 'chase scene' on film? 

In the digiKidz Digital Film-making program, learn how to handle a camcorder & improve your filming techniques. 

Write an original storyboard and use computer software to create digital music and edit your movies. 

 

Stop Motion Animation

Have you a collection of toy cars that are keen to come-to-life? Do you like working with play-dough creating your own characters?In the digiKidz Stop Motion Animation program, you will create your own animated movies using stop motion animation computer software. Use a selection of LEGO® bricks, play-dough and small toys. Add your fav song or create a new digital soundtrack. Add zany voice-overs, to complete the project. 

Digital Storytelling "

Digital Storytelling is the art of telling 'your story' using multi-media technology. It can be viewed as an autobiographical 'mini movie' which is created and edited by you - using computer software, digital camcorders & cameras, and  still photographs. 

In the digiKidz Digital storytelling program, work with digital photos, voice overs, digital film and music editing software to create a digital story that reflects your special and unique life.

LEGO® Robotics

Ever wish you could build a robot that could do the dishes for you, call your friend, or sound the alarm when your sister sneaks into your room? 

wanting to learn how to program robots and compete in FLL (First Lego League) competitions?

digiKidz roboteers can show you how. A series of challenges will hone your collaboration, programming, inventiveness, and strategic skills.

In the digiKidz Robotics program, build and program a robot to execute a rescue. Teach your robot to navigate a maze, conquer challenges, and be the first team to complete assigned missions.

For all participants in all sessions:

digiKidz supplies all computers and camcorders, play-dough, plastic bricks, robotics kits, and all necessary accessories for each program. Children may need to bring in additional props and resources to assist with their projects.

At the end of each program, each child will be given a DVD of the week's highlights as well as a certificate of completion. 

All programs are suitable for children ages 9-14 years.

Each session is 1/2 day for 1 week and costs$160. 2 sessions( a full day) is $260 : 3 sessions is $360

Lunchime supervision between morning and afternoon sessions is provided at no cost.
