The iD Gaming Academy gives teens an immersive experience in the dynamic worlds of game development and professional gaming. After each day’s instruction (see courses below), students play some of the most popular commercial games to learn from the experts. Students can expect late-night NVIDIA®-hosted gaming tournaments (including multiplayer console tournaments during evening activities) and LAN parties. A major game development studio tour will anchor each session as students learn first-hand how industry professionals create premier commercial games.
But don’t let the gameplay fool you—this is all part of the academy curriculum. Working on both team and personal projects from concept to completion, our teen camp graduates leave the academy with a gaming portfolio, cutting-edge software, and the tools to not only compete, but excel, in the rapidly expanding fields of game development and professional video gaming.
Courses:
Game Modeling with Maya®- Learn the basics of 3D graphics production, including character modeling, texturing and animating from top tier instructions with game development experience.
Game Programming- focus on scripting and programming, you’ll learn the fundamentals of character/object interaction, level design, and UI editor, all within the wide-ranging environment of a commercial quality editor.
Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the world’s best known professional gamer, is collaborating on curriculum development for this exclusive course. Learn advanced skills from world-renowned professional gamers and members of the Free Player Organization.
