iD Tech in Austin 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: craigmounts, 2009-08-10 14:32:13 (Modified: 2009-08-10 00:00:00)

Compared to the other "outdoor" camp that my son went to, this camp was outstanding in the way of personal attention, safety, and medication. The food could have been better. But I think that is up to the Dorms where they were staying. Not really anything iD Tech can control unless they got private catering. It was a good mix between fun and games and learning on the computers. Plus it was only a little higher priced than the one where they only swam in the lake all week. I guess it costs more to have all of those computers and Counselors who know technology.

Great experience 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Luis F. Velez, 2009-10-19 11:09:07 (Modified: 2009-10-19 00:00:00)

This summer camp is great. My son has attended for two years in a raw, two weeks every year. He loves it. He comes back home telling stories about what he did, and about how funny the camp assistants are. He has a lot of fun in those camps The organization is not only kid friendly, it is highly pedagogical. The best is how empowered my son feels... he feels great about mastering game design, and doing his own games... listening to him you'd think that he learned it all on his own, and that speaks tons about how good the camp's instruction is.

iD Tech Summer Computer Camps--San Antonio, TX 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Olga San Miguel, 2009-10-26 08:36:53 (Modified: 2009-10-26 00:00:00)

Our granddaughter attended summer camp this summer at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio. She lives in California so she didn't know any teens her age. The two sessions she attended were fun and stretched her computer skills. She made wonderful friends among the other campers as well as the counselors. For us the friendships were worth the entire camp experience, however, she also acquired some advanced skills in graphic design and flash animation.

3D Game Design Unreal Engine 3 -SMU Summer '09 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Kathleen LaValle, 2009-09-21 07:27:07 (Modified: 2009-09-21 00:00:00)

Our son did not know anyone else who was attending his session and he ended up having a blast, learning lots, and making great friends. I really liked how the instructor said a little something specific to each student when certificates were given on the final day. Great environment and a very positive experience all around. Our son is already talking about attending next summer. Although we live in Dallas, we may have him stay on campus next time so that he experiences more of a taste of college life.
