Foster City is known as one of the safest cities in the United States and is on many "best places to live" lists. It doesn't hurt that its location in Silicon Valley means lovely weather year-round and that Foster City has more parks per capita than any other in California. This means lots of opportunities for outdoor recreation with the family. There are tennis courts, baseball fields, biking trails, and even world-class wind surfing spots for you and the kids to enjoy after a long day at camp. Read our online directory for Foster City to find the best summer camp option for your child.

Send your little campers to a fun-filled seasonal camp put on by Foster City Parks and Recreation. Last year's themes included Wild and Wacky Winter Camp, meant to be a reunion for the summer camp crowd and led by the same staff, and Super Duper Spring Break Camp, a K-5th grade offering that is jam-packed with crafts, funny skits, crazy games, and of course, a field trip. Foster City Parks and Recreation also provides after-school help for 6th-12th graders at VIBE Teen Center. Teens can also hang out here on weekends and play Xbox, air hockey, or just watch movies in a safe environment with friends.

Have some fun, or keff, as they say in Hebrew at Camp Keff, a Jewish camp for all kinds of kids. Camps are available for kindergarten all the way up to teens. Grades K-2 can look forward to swim lessons, playing sports, making science experiments, and creating in art class. Kids will have the time of their life on the giant inflatables, the Kindercamp only party, and a sleepover for Yomah. In Fall Camps, K-6th can take a week of basketball and cooking to enhance their culinary and athletic skills.

Bring out your child's inner Hemingway at Lekha Writing Center. This center seeks to form a positive relationship between students and writing and focus less on "correctness". In the Create-a-book class, students will learn the art of book making and illustrating, while also writing a descriptive narrative. The Persuasive Essay and Opinion Essay class is structured to help student's show a position in a three to five paragraph essay, which they will learn to outline and revise. If students take the Story Writing class, they will have the chance to have their stories published in the school anthology.
