Yes. All members listings, when they are originally created must be approved by MySummerCamps.com. We reserve the right to refuse any listing or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for the site. Each listing is allowed one logo and twenty photographs in addition to 400 words of description. It usually takes no more then 1 business day to have your listing posted, depending on how many camps sign up each day (sometimes dozens). If a business day has passed and your profile still has not been posted, please contact us toll-free at 877-777-7738 to notify us. The number of requests you get from our viewers will depend greatly on the quality of your listing. Here are some helpful tips that will help you: Upload photographs: People like to see the camp that they're reading about, profiles with photographs get up to ten times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. You can either upload a photo from a digital camera or a scanner. If you don't have access to a scanner, we can do if for you (just send the pictures to our office). Think before you write: Feel free to write as many as 400 words in the camp description portion. The better your profile describes your camp, the more likely it is that families will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always return and add more content later. To "turn off" your listing we simply switch your account from a paid listing (which is prominently displayed) to a free listing which is significantly less visible. To initiate this process simply give us a call toll-free at 877-777-7738 or email us. CAUTION: Deleting a listing is permanent. We will not be able to recover deleted listings. To permanently delete your listing, call us toll-free at 877-777-7738 or email us. To update your listing, please follow these steps: 1. Login to MySummerCamps.com using your Username and Password. 2. Within the “Members Area” (top right-hand side) click the "Modify / Copy Camp" link. 3. Make your updates. 4. When finished click on “Modify Camp”. * modifications will not be posted live on the site until a member of the MySummerCamps.com team has reviewed and validated the changes. The entire site is rebuilt daily at 3am EST. The organic results on MySummerCamps.com are randomized daily at 3am EST when the site is rebuilt. Many other directories on the Internet link to your site, however, they link to your site through a redirector. This redirector is not a true link to your site. Search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN scan the Internet for links to your site. Redirectors block search engines from locating these links to your site. The more links to your site, the more highly your site will be ranked, particularly if the links are from relevant websites and sites that have a strong PageRank – the result of having more links is more traffic.
Clients participating on MySummerCamps.com receive 2 true links as a result of their participation as a paid member of MySummerCamps.com.

The first is the embedded web link within their detailed listing. Hint #1 - it is found atop their listing and states their camp name. Hint #2 – the text is white and the background is red. ;-)

The second is the embedded web link within their detailed listing on Disney’s Family.com. The organic summer camp results on Disney’s Family.com are rebuilt daily at 3am EST. If you have a Paid Membership you have the ability to add Google Video to your Detailed Page. Here are some quick instructions to get you started with Google Video. First go to http://video.google.com/ On the right hand side you can sign in, and below that there is a link to create a new account. You may need to validate your account using the email address you signed up with. Once you've created your account and logged in, you will be able to upload videos.

On the right hand column, near the top, there is an area called My Videos with two links. The first is Upload Videos, where you can post new videos online, the second is Uploaded Videos, where you can view and modify the videos you already have online.

Upload your video and enter in all the relevant information. It may take a few minutes to upload, depending on the size of the video. The largest you can upload is 100MB, so make sure your video is smaller than that. After you've uploaded your video, login in to Summer-DayCamps.com and modify any one of your camps. Near the bottom of the modify form, just before the pictures, is a place to enter your Google Video docId.

Add Streaming Video To add streaming video to your listing, you need to first upload it to Google Video. Then update the "docId" when you are adding or modifying a camp. To delete a video, enter 0.

How to Find docId

1. Load your google video in a browser
2. Each Google Video has a URL with the following format:
   http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-155038520578796219 &hl=en
3. Copy and paste your Google Video docId marked above in red into the box above.
