Spring into family activities in Savannah, Georgia. Track down trains at the Georgia State Railroad Museum, get into the great outdoors at the Skidsaway Island State Park, or dive into learning at the Education Center and Aquarium.

Chug along for a good time at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. Let your little engineer tour a luxury train car, then spend time working on the railroad when you and your child try pumping a handcar. Rattle along the tracks together on anostalgic train ride. Watch blacksmiths take fire from the forge and turn them into terrific creations, or take a tour with one of the museum's "conductors."

Trek along the intercoastal waterway at the Skidsaway Island State Park. Pitch a tent and camp under the stars in one of the park's many camping sites or roll on into an RV slot and set up for a great adventure. Hit the trails and find fiddler crabs, deer, and dozens of other birds and wild creatures. Plant a love of nature in your child when you participate in aranger-led hike, then blow off some steam at the park's playground or challenge the family to a game of volleyball.

Explore the ocean's depths at the Education Center and Aquarium located at the University of Georgia. Marvel at the mysterious moon jellies as they drift through a darkened tank. Hurtle into hands-on action at one of the aquarium's touch tanks. Kids can let a hermit crab skedaddle off their hand or pick up a knobby snail and other invertebrates. View fossilized remains from the last Ice Age and then learn about the native people that once lived in coastal Georgia, long before the European explorers arrived. Check out their many educational programs such as Island Exploration or Catch of the Day, there is a class for every age to enjoy.
