With the great prairies rolling to the east and the Rocky Mountains in the west, Montana has a diverse array of land that will satisfy any kid. Explore some if its most epic parks, plunge into water activities of all kinds, or learn about the state's storied past.

Marvel in the wonders of Glacier National Park, where a total of six mountains rise above over 10,000 feet. Your children will be blown away by the 37 glaciers and over 700 lakes that display epic beauty. Hike with the kids at Medicine Rocks State Park, the perfect place to get their energy out and play a game of hide and seek. Families looking for adventure will love the formations and rock climbing opportunities spread throughout eastern Montana. Watch your child investigate sandstone formations growing out of the ground as you nurture your budding scientist. Consider spending the night in a tent or head to nearby Ekalaka for indoor lodging, museums and restaurants to cap off a great family vacation.

Soak the kids on a water adventure starting at Yellowstone, where the only year-round entrance is accessible from Montana. Walk under the Roosevelt Arch to discover the geothermal pools and abundant wild animals waiting in the state park. White water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking are popular activities for all ages. If your family wants to up the splash factor, visit the city of Missoula, which offers three adrenaline-pumping water slides. In the winter months, be sure to take a swim in the city's indoor Currents Aquatic Center.

Blast back to the past at the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center, where your little ones will comprehend the historic journey by bringing a replica of their canoe in from the water. They'll get a kick out of learning the story of how these men traveled through five waterfalls on the Missouri River where the Great Falls lie now. Dig even deeper at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, boasting authentic Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops fossils. Your children will feel like paleontologists or marine scientists as they find underwater imprints and fossils from millions of years ago. With beauty and mystery abound, Wyoming really is the perfect place for your kids to grow and explore.
