Westfield Area YMCA Summer Day Camps provide safe, engaging, fun and meaningful camp experiences with enriching activities, fitness, and social and emotional learning for children ages 3-15. Campers enjoy a variety of activities and themes every day with friends and peers exploring math, science, arts, sports, nature and global diversity. Our curriculum promotes teamwork, enhances self-esteem and builds skills while incorporating the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
Our staff receive over 20 hours of pre-camp training including certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid with EpiPen administration, asthma inhaler training, anti-bullying prevention, behavior management, child abuse awareness and much more. We also have a full time first responder on staff for summer camp.
Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality.

We believe in serving the needs of all members of our community including those who may be unable to pay the full cost of membership or programs. Financial assistance is available for Traditional, Extended Day and Leadership camps. Applicant must live or work in our service area of Cranford, Garwood, Mountainside or Westfield. Financial assistance requests for camp are due by April 30. Applications received later will be considered on an as-available basis. The financial assistance application is available online and at all Westfield Area Y locations.
