Taste of Polo – Kids Summer Camp
Polo teaches kids important skills for sports including balance and coordination, teamwork and focus. They learn to work with other players, set goals to achieve success all while having fun. Spending time around horses can teach kids to care for animals, treat them with respect and learn trust and forgiveness.
Camp is a great introductory opportunity for kids to learn to play polo for the first time or make great improvements to their existing polo skills. During the week kids learn about the horses, the sport of polo and participate in fun activities on the farm with camp counselors, certified in caring for kids and first aid. Each day the kids have a riding lesson, polo skills lesson and practice chukkas with professional coaches as well as learning to tack up and care for their horses.
At summer camp kids learn:
- About the Rules and How to Play Polo
- How to Hold the Mallet and Hit the Ball Correctly
- Riding Position on the Horse
- Basic Swings and Maneuvers
We provide quiet, experienced polo horses that know their jobs and make it easy to learn. We also provide you with Mallets, Balls and everything you need. You should bring your own riding boots, helmet and gloves.
