The camp offers three weeks of workshops intended to allow youth to explore a variety of musical cultures and instruments! The first week, Aug 10-14, offers African marimba and dancing. The first week is full, however there is still space in week two and three! The second week, Aug , 17-21, offers Taiko drumming, fiddle, and tin whistle. The third week, Aug 24-28, offers introduction to world guitar and Brazillian percussion and dance. No previous experience is necessary. Instructors are coming from across Canada and have an extensive background in cultural music! The classes run Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm, and a recital will be held at the end of each week on the Friday afternoon. The camp cost is $75 for one week, and $140 for two weeks.
