Lakefield Camp International has been a leading choice for summer campers since 1985. Each summer, campers from Canada and around the world join together for fun, adventure and learning.

Facilities
Our campers live in twin or triple rooms, divided by age and gender, in a modern school residence on the grounds of Lakefield College School, a prestigious Canadian private Boarding School. Spacious common rooms and lounges as well as complete washroom and shower facilities are available. Meals are eaten buffet-style in a modern dining hall.

Our campers are never bored. Each week they choose 5 daily activities from a vast array of options. All activities are instructed and supervised by dedicated camp staff.

Excursions
Participants receive a full day excursion to a shopping centre in the Greater Toronto Area which operates once per 4-week session.

Optional Excursions
Optional excursions are offered to all campers at an extra fee. Excursions offered are dependent upon session dates and duration. All excursions are fully supervised by camp staff and include transportation and admission costs. They may include excursions to the Niagara Falls, a Disco Boat Cruise on Lake Ontario, a trip to Canada's Wonderland, or White Water Rafting (13 years +).

Wilderness Education
We offer a Wilderness Education programme for all campers. Campers receive 10 hours of instruction per week and study a variety of topics such as: Map Orienteering, Environmental issues, Wilderness living and survival, Animal and Insect exploration, Native Canadian stories and history, Nature discovery journals and current societal concerns.

Intensive Tennis
For those campers who want to seriously improve their tennis skills, we offer 10 hours of intensive tennis lessons with a professional instructor.  Tennis lessons would comprise 2 of 5 activity periods daily.

Language Instruction
ESL is available as an option for international campers as well as Canadian campers whose first language is not English. 10 or 15 hours per week of ESL is taught by qualified instructors. ESL comprises 2 or 3 of 5 activity periods daily.

LIT Programme
Campers who are 17 years of age are invited to apply to participate in our Leadership Programme. This programme is designed to provide young people with an opportunity to develop awareness of social responsibility, while nurturing their individuality and self-confidence. Participants gain hands-on experience and develop strong leadership skills.

Our staff
The high quality of our language, sports and activities programmes is further augmented by our staff of sensitive, dedicated and professional instructors and counselors. They truly care about each student, and ensure that students receive the attention and care needed to make their stay great.

Transportation
We offer flexible session dates and optional transfer services from Toronto's Pearson International Airport or Oshawa Station.
