For students looking for unique summer adventures, we offer 14 or 21 day voyages exclusively in the Caribbean, Our students’ live-aboard 47' catamarans. Crews are co-ed and grouped by age and grade on each boat. We sail in fleets so you'll enjoy the camaraderie of your crew plus the social opportunities created by the larger group. In addition to your marine biology activities, you'll learn to sail your 47' boat with your crew, participate in watersports such as waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and stand up paddleboarding , try scuba diving or get scuba certified, while also enjoying beach activities and exploring the islands.
Marine Science
High School students who have a strong interest in Marine Biology join the Sierra program. Apply your diving or snorkeling skills while working with expert Marine Biologists on various projects earning community service hours. Throughout the program you will develop a presentation on the subject of your choice and showcase it to other staff and students towards the end of program. You'll have the option to earn academic credit through a pre-approved independent study course while on the program. There’s also an option to try scuba with our Discover Scuba course (2-4 dives), get certified with the PADI Open Water (OW) course or if you're already scuba certified take the Advanced Open Water course (AOW) or just dive for fun.
We teach students practical life skills: teamwork, communication, and decision-making resulting in increased independence and self-confidence.
