Wilderness First Aid for Camp Nurses – 2-3 June 2005, Concordia Language Villages, Bemidji, MN Using the National Safety Council’s curriculum, this 18 hour, action packed class teaches pre-hospital skills using scenarios common to the camp setting. $175 fee includes course materials, rm/brd, CEs, and ground transportation from Bemidji’s airport. Successful completion results in 3-year certificate from NCS in WFA. Contact Linda Erceg at 218-586-8771 or erceg@cord.edu Bats, Bugs & Band-Aids: A Nurse Goes to Camp – 3-5 June 2005, Concordia Language Villages, Bemidji, MN This multi-day workshop, designed to meet the needs of new camp nurses, presents core competencies for camp nurses as well as break-out seminars in topics such as sports injuries, orthodontic care, anaphylaxis, international health modalities, and asthma management. Using a Mentor Group format and the expeditionary learning model, participants experience camp while learning in a mulit-national setting. $325 includes workshop materials, CEs, rm/brd, ground transport from Bemidji’s airport. Participants doing both this workshop and WFA pay a reduced fee of $450.
