Kansas City Camp Seeks Companions for Kids with Cancer Can't Post

Camp Quality Kansas City - a camping experience and year-round support for children with cancer - and their families - will provide a one-on-one companion for every child who registers with their program. Companions are a minimum of 18 years of age.

The work of a companion is one of year-round support, and companions are expected to maintain contact with their camper after camp. No special skill or medical training is needed. CQ-Kansas City seeks caring adults who want to build a friendship with a special child.

For a companion application, contact Jacinda Farmer, Companion Coordinator at oneznuf@earthlink.net - 816-540-5846.

CQ-Kansas City's "Far Out" Summer Camp 2005 will run from July 31 to August 5.

For general information about CQ-Greater KC, e-mail Director Zauyah Waite - waitez@umkc.edu or call 816-561-5861.

Camp Quality assists children with cancer in almost 20 countries around the world. Link here to Camp Quality International Headquarters.
