Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Sierra Nevada – Emigrant Wilderness

When: June 30- July 1, 2007

Where: Class meets at the Summit Ranger Station, Stanislaus National Forest, Pinecrest, California for Saturday morning sessions and then by short hike to an overnight in the Emigrant Wilderness.

Description: In a spectacular setting, participants will receive in depth background on the Leave No Trace principles and guidance and practice in effective ways to present Leave No Trace to their clients. Completion leads to a Leave No Trace Trainer Certificate. The Interpretive Staff of the Stanislaus National Forest and the Sierra Nevada Wilderness Education Project sponsor this class.

Instructor: Leave No Trace Master Educator Brent Pettey of the Sierra Nevada Wilderness Education Project.

Cost: $10 per person (includes Leave No Trace educational materials)
