Summer Camp - People Places and Things

Three principles make up the world of summer camp: "People, Places, Things". Come to think of it, the entire world exists of these three essential elements. People Summer camp people are campers, parents, camp owners and directors, counselors and CITs, activity staff, kitchen staff, nurses, doctors, bus drivers, and many others in the supporting cast. These people assemble for weeks or months and play out the supreme summer drama for kids and teens. They participate in a bonding experience; make new friends, and formulate into tight cabin groups. Newer trends situate teens overseas in Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond – traveling together - seeing the world’s greatest sights. Young people study in universities across North America and abroad, cultivating their special academic interests and earning college credits. Places Summer camps are located all over North America, many in exquisite natural settings of woodlands and water. Day camps pop up in cities and suburbs providing structured programs and companionship. Teen tour groups visit amazing spots like Paris, Beijing, Machu Picchu, the Galapagos Islands, the Australian Outback – and hundreds of other fabulous places. Academic and Pre-College camps appear on campuses across North America, and in exotic international learning environments. Things Things are the toughest part of the equation. A thing can be any (thing): a flag, a life jacket, a campfire, an e-mail from home, a Frisbee, a canoe, a paintbrush, a saddle, a BMX, a digital tour camera, a French Grammar book, (name your own summer camp thing). People, places and things are all coming together for another great year – Opening soon at a summer camp near you – SUMMER CAMP 2007.
