After two years of enjoying the far-flung destinations of Toronto and Australia, WYSTC returns to its European home-base for 2007. But this is Europe with a difference. It’s Istanbul where east meets west...where you can wake up on the European side of the Bosporus and have dinner in Asia!
Why Turkey?
In 2006, there were more than 1.2 million university students in Turkey, over half of whom chose to study abroad. With the Turkish Ministry of Education reporting that 22% of the population is at secondary level or below, this demand will be even greater in the future, making Turkey a popular source market for language travel and study abroad organisations.
Dynamic, diverse and cosmopolitan and with an expected large local turn out -- Istanbul is a fitting location for the world’s premier youth, student and educational travel event.
What's New at WYSTC?
The WYSTC programme is more compact and focused than previous years. This year we offer a full day seminar programme, providing attendees with more opportunity to attend. “Trends in International Education”, “Next Generation Marketing”, “Sustainable Tourism” and an up date on legislation and regulations governing Cultural Exchange programs, are but a few of the topics that will be covered in this years programme.
In 2007, accommodation is separate from the conference packages. You book you own accommodation independently of your conference package. We’ve got the hotels… you pick the dates and the result is greater flexibility and control over costs when planning your trip.
Doing Business
The business-to-business trade show, with its free trading travel mart, bi-lateral business appointments and industry based seminar programme are still at the core of WYSTC conference so there are still plenty of opportunities to meet, network, learn and conduct business.
