lifeguard/swim instructor/laccrose instructor-very qualified...looking for perfect camp! Quote | Reply

heyy guys.
Okay i have kindof a big problem. I'm going to be 17 during the summer, but most camps hire starting at age 19! i think it's kind of unfair, especally considering the amount of experince and knowladge i have.
Does anyone know of any camps that would accept a mature, qualified 17 year old for the job as a counsoler?? my email is codieg76@hotmail.com
thanks so much.

???

Allot of camps will hire 17 years olds as junior counsellors. Unfortunetly the pay is usualy low ($300-900/ summer).

I suggest you find a couple camp jobs in the type of camps & locations you are looking for, and check out there websites and see what there hiring policy is.

Also, dont just apply to one camp. Waiting a couple months to hear back from one camp that doesnt take you can be a hudge roack block on finding a summer camp job.

Hey! I know it's kind of late but you might be able to work at the camp as a junior counselor I am working at this summer starting june second (orientation). We just moved to a new location that is at a lake front property and we also will have a pool, but we have a new director who is currently searching for a lifeguard. It's a long shot, but if you are interested please email me, hayleyjchase@hotmail.com, and I can give you her email.
Look up "Concordia Language Villages" on this site, I think it's on...we are the English Language Camp and trust me, it is sooo much fun!
