| Program instructors are responsible for preparing and leading activities and lessons in their area of instruction; maintaining safety and discipline at all times; and supervising staff and campers in their program area. They will take on responsibilities of a counselor, provide leadership for activities, and perform other duties where needed.
Program instructors must be at least 19 years of age, have previous camp experience, and demonstrate teaching and leadership abilities as well as competency in their area of instruction. Additional certifications may be required depending on program area.
Program Areas: Adventure (high ropes, teambuilding, climbing tower), aquatics, archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, minibiking, mountain & BMX biking, nature, sports, trips coordinator (organizes and coordinates off-site day and overnight trips), and wilderness (works with Wilderness Camp programs and off-site Wilderness Expeditions trips)
Program instructors live with 1-2 counselors and 10-12 campers for 13 day sessions. Staff receive 2 evenings off (6pm-midnight) during the session, and Fri. evening - Sun. morning off between sessions. |
