AMSE offers summer camps, sports exhibit

It's time to plan for summer fun at the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge, which offers three different full-day weekly camps, a traveling exhibition on sports, plus an all new "Oak Ridge Story: Manhattan Project and World War II" permanent exhibition.
AMSE summer camp registration is open for Science Explorer -- June 2-6 and June 9-13 for rising fifth, sixth and seventh graders ($175 for AMSE members and $190 for non-members); AMSE Labs -- July 7–11 for rising fourth and fifth graders and July 14–18 for rising sixth and seventh graders ($165 for AMSE members and $180 for non-members); Camp Invention -- July 21-25 for rising first and second graders and July 28–Aug. 1 for rising third and fourth graders ($170 for AMSE members and $185 for non-members). The Science Explorer camp at Freels Bend in Oak Ridge is from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. The AMSE Labs and Camp Invention, both at AMSE, are from 8:30 am. until 3 p.m. The 2008 AMSE summer camp descriptions and registration forms are available at AMSE or at www.amse.org.
