HOYLAKE Rugby Club's junior section looks set to reap the benefits from an exciting new initiative.
Around 50 youngsters attended a week-long summer camp held by coaches from New Zealand, Australia and Samoa.
The group of southern hemisphere experts, which included former Auckland player Richard Aho, introduced new training techniques and passed on expert tips.
The camp was so successful that more have already been planned and club officials also hope to set up an exchange programme which will see Hoylake's best young players gain further experience Down Under.
Secretary of the club's junior section, Emma Lockwood, said: "The youngsters learnt so much from it and the camp really was a great success.
