January 18, 2005 — Now is the time to start thinking about Kid's Summer Camps, but how do you choose what's right for your child. Gordie Kaplan, with the American Camp Association has some advise for parents on how to get a jump start on finding the perfect camp for their kids.

Families are invited to the 22nd Annual Camp and Summer Adventure Fair (formerly Summer Fare) presented by the American Camp Association (ACA) - Illinois and Chicago Parent magazine. This family-friendly event features more than 80 exhibitors including day and resident camps, schools and trip and tour program operators from all parts of the world for kids ages 5 to 19.

In addition to exhibit booths, the fair will host a hands-on family camp featuring camping fun activities. The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 22 in Woodridge, Ill at the Signature Room at Seven Bridges, 6440 Double Eagle Drive and Sunday, January 23 in Lincolnshire, Ill., at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, 10 Marriott Drive.
