School’s almost out, but it’s not too late to sign a youngster up for one of many area summer camps

Looking for a summer camp for your child?

Here are a few places to get started:

• The American Camp Association, www.acacamps.org, includes a listing of camps accredited by the association. You can search for camps in your region. To contact the Michigan office of the ACA, call 616-245-5255 or 888-222-6424.

• The Macomb Intermediate School District’s 2006 Guide to Fun for Families offers tips and places to go throughout the year, including summer camps.

• Oakland Schools, Oakland County’s intermediate school district, has a listing of camps in the region.

• Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency’s 2006 Discovering Your Dreams is a guide to programs for gifted and talented students. Click here for details.
