Some of the greatest writers throughout history have called the UK their home, from classic writers (Chaucer and Shakespeare), to Victorian authors (the Bronte sisters and Robert Louis Stevenson) and even modern masters (J.K. Rowling). 'Adventures through the Ages' will bring their masterpieces to life: after a full tour of London, we'll visit writers' homes and see the very spots where inspiration struck, from medieval castles, to pastoral countryside, to busy cafes. We'll see where Shakespeare's plays were performed and where the Harry Potter movies were filmed. Then we'll make our way through the historic sites in Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Haworth, York, and finally Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands. Along the way, we'll also take time to develop our own writing skills while taking afternoon tea, indulging in ambling afternoon walks, and eating local delicacies such as haggis.
