African Leadership Academy Global Scholars Program

Discover the history, beauty, and geography of Africa while learning the leadership skills necessary to transform your community over the summer.

The Global Scholars Program (GSP) at African Leadership Academy is an intensive, nineteen-day, youth leadership for a select group of high school students from across the world. Built around ALA’s unique Entrepreneurial Leadership and African Studies curriculum, GSP prepares future leaders to explore their potential to create widespread change in Africa and throughout the world.

Teens and young adults in this exciting summer program practice leadership by working in social ventures in the Johannesburg community, learn from young inspirational entrepreneurs in South Africa, build a global network of young leaders from around the world and discover the history, beauty and diversity of Africa. This is a summer built on travel, exploration, study abroad, leadership skills, work experience, and service to the community.
