Artspace Summer Arts Program

Each summer Artspace provides youth classes for rising 3rd through 10th graders to work closely with and learn from a professional artist. Classes for youth are weeklong, half-day courses to allow students to complete one large individual art project and several smaller ones. The program includes 48 youth classes, serving over 600 youths, including up to 50 need-based, full-scholarship students.

Summer Arts Program registration begins February 5, 2013 for Artspace members. Regular registration begins March 4, 2013. 

 

YOUTH SCHEDULE

Each class is one-week long, 3 hours per day, 15 hours of total class time.

8:30 – 9:00am  Drop-off (no earlier drop-off times will be available)
9:00 – 12:00pm  Morning classes
12:00 – 12:10pm  Pick-up for morning classes
12:00 – 1:00pm  Lunch break for full-day students (be sure to turn in your Zoës Kitchen order form or to bring a bag lunch)
12:30 – 1:00pm  Drop-off for afternoon classes
1:00 - 4:00pm Afternoon classes
4:00 - 4:10pm Pick-up for afternoon classes
4:00 - 5:30pm After Hours (optional)
5:30pm Pick up for After Hours' students (no later pick-up is available)

$100 ($90 members) + $25 supplies per class =

*Registrations made at a later date for additional classes will be charged another $12 registration fee.

SPECIAL MEMBERS-ONLY REWARDS

• Members qualify for EARLY REGISTRATION beginning February 5, 2013. Others may register beginning March 4.

• Artspace Members at the Family Level and above receive a $10 discount on tuition for the first three classes, and a $20 discount on tuition for the 4th and subsequent classes of any family member within the same household. Material fees cannot be discounted.

• For individual members enrolling in multiple classes, an additional $10 discount will be applied to the fourth and subsequent classes. Material fees cannot be discounted.

If you are registering for classes and joining Artspace as a member for the FIRST TIME, you can sign up for a family membership for the discounted rate of only $60. Subsequent family membership renewal rate is $75.

REGISTRATION

The DEADLINE to register is 8 business days before the class or workshop begins. Register early, as classes can fill quickly. Please complete the registration form (below) carefully and fax or mail it to Artspace with payment. Registration will not be confirmed until payment is received. Payments for faxed registrations must be received within three days of receipt of the fax.

You may also register by phone with a Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. Please contact Artspace if you have any questions.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  Although you will receive a written confirmation, the notice will arrive just before your session start date. We will call at least 8 business days prior to the start date of each class if a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment.
