The Italian Experience Program provides students with an opportunity to explore Italian language, culture, art, and cooking in the beautiful city of Florence. No prior knowledge of Italian is required. Classes will be taugh by local instructors at Lorenzo de' Medici - The Italian International Institute (LdM), located in central Florence. All students must enroll in one morning class, and an additional afternoon art class is encouraged but optional.
All students will also participate in the hands-on Friday Cooking Seminar. In this seminar, students will use local products to prepare a variety of traditional Italian dishes, and they will learn how food relates to the Italian lifestyle and culture.
Participants in this program will stay in a residence hall during their time abroad. When they are not in class, students will be taking part in Aspire cultural activities and in excursions to Rome and the Tuscan countryside.
