It was developed by members of AutismONTARIO York Region Chapter to ensure that their children with Autism Spectrum Disorders had a quality camp experience in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment.
The camp has been in continuous operation for 22 years.
Campers enjoy many community-based activities, such as
• Swimming
• Community Outings
• Cooking
• Crafts
A significant part of the camp program is based on community outings, providing plenty of natural teaching opportunities for social skills and life skills.
Other features of the camp include a work experience program 1/2 day per week for senior campers, visits to restaurants, camp spirit mornings,
physical education activities and an overnight camping experience for all campers at the end of the summer.
