The Summer Art Camp program at the Boca Raton Museum Art School offers fun filled days of learning and creativity through drawing, painting, sculpture and so much more. Using the Art School's professional art studios with professionally trained art instructors, campers create high quality, age appropriate art projects as they learn a variety of techniques that they develop through a variety of mediums. Different themed weeks and unique art projects stimulate the creativity of the children who attend one, two, three or more weeks.

Weekly Summer Art Camp

June 3 - August 9, 2019

  • Camp Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Doors Open: 8:30am (Mon) / 8:45am (Tue - Fri)
  • Early Care: 8:00am - 9:00am ($25 per week)
  • After Care: 4:00pm - 5:15pm ($25 per week)
  • Closed Wednesday July 4th (during week 5)

A Typical Day Includes...

  • Creating new art projects each day
  • Collaborating on team projects throughout the week
  • Exploring world cultures and art history
  • Learning new art terms
  • Recreation, game time, film, and quiet time
  • Lunch, snack time, and clean up


  • Students must be at least five years of age before first day of camp
  • Campers must bring their own lunch, beverages, and snacks
  • Naptime is not provided
  • Register online, in-person, mail, or phone.
  • Limited financial aid is available (Application for financial aid due by May 1st)

Week 1  (June 3 - 7)   
Crazy Color Explosion

Tap into your inner creativity by experimenting with paint and a wide range of fun materials while exploring the use of color. For inspiration, we will view works by the old masters, impressionists, contemporary artists, and many more!

Week 2   (June 10-14)                 
Fabulous Famous Artists

Discover the techniques of master artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Klimt and more. This is a fun introduction to the wonderful world of art for the naturally curious, creative young artist.

Week 3   (June 17-21)                  
Wild at Art: Exploring the Natural World

Have fun with the natural world. Create one-of-a-kind works of art inspired by nature, including animals and their habitats, flowers, trees, rock formations, the ocean, and the beach.

Week 4   (June 24-28)       
Creative Passport: Art Around the World

Grab your passports and maps as we go on an “around the world” art adventure! Be inspired by cultures and natural wonders while learning that art is the language that everyone speaks.

Week 5   (July 1, 2, 3, & 5)    
'Art'rageous Drawing and Painting from Life

Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting while sketching objects from life. Experimentation and creativity are encouraged to develop confidence in working with a variety of media.

Week 6   (July 8-12)    
Comic Character Creator: Heroes & Villians

Have fun creating original hero and villain characters and creative creatures while learning the basics of cartooning and everything anime. Create stories full of action and suspense by building a story arc with a beginning, middle, and end.

Week 7   (July 15-19)           
3-D Sculpture Sensations

Learn techniques for constructing sculptures with a variety of fun materials while exploring the basic elements of art: color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value.

Week 8   (July 22-26)                
Comic Craze: Creative Storytelling

If you love to draw and have ever wished you could bring your drawings to life through cartooning, this is the camp for you! Develop original characters, situations, and storylines, then combine them with hand drawn elements of constructed animations.

Week 9   (July 29-August 2)     
Artist's Studio: Drawing Skills & Techniques

This week’s camp is designed to help emerging young artists build strong technical skills utilizing a variety of drawing techniques and mediums. Use observation from life and imagination to create unique, one of a kind works of art.

Week 10   (August 5-9)       
Going Green: Upcycling with Mixed Media

Unleash the power of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Bring found objects and recycled materials to life by transforming them into beautiful works of art.
