Located on beautiful Lake MacDonald in the Laurentians, the CAMMAC Music Centre offers 8 weeks of summer retreats for musicians of all ages and abilities, along with additional activities throughout the year. Our programs take place in a relaxing, non-competitive environment, where you can make music, meet people who share your passions, learn from dedicated teachers, and discover new repertoire.

Eight one-week immersive music programs offer a wide range of classes and activities for all ages, perfect for all levels of amateur musicians from beginner to advanced. Whether you come with family, friends or on your own, CAMMAC’s warm and friendly atmosphere will make you feel right at home.

Choose your week: classical, jazz, blues, Broadway, world music and more! Each week’s program is based on a different theme and offers a varied choice of classes, including chamber music, choral and instrumental workshops, early music ensembles, Broadway theatre, songwriting, yoga, classical & jazz vocal masterclasses, tai chi, visual arts workshops, forest bathing and much more.

You can sing in an acapella group, play in an orchestra or jazz combo, kayak, swim and relax by the lake, play tennis, take in (or perform in) a concert, learn to play the djembe, join an evening singalong by the campfire… the days are filled with opportunities to have fun and to make music with other musicians who share your passion. While at CAMMAC, you will learn from the best: our highly experienced teaching faculty is composed of outstanding professional musicians from Canada and abroad.

Families love CAMMAC for the great balance of time spent together and apart! CAMMAC is an intergenerational music camp with classes and activities for all ages. Kids, teens, and adults participate in separate programs, allowing each member of the family to play, learn, relax, and grow according to their own rhythm.

The kids’ program, designed for children 5 to 11 years old, offers music, arts & crafts, dance, and sports. Activities are also planned for kids in the evening. All children must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their supervision outside program hours (8:30 AM to 1:00 PM). Teens get to choose from classes in our adult programs, as well as from activities and workshops designed just for them such as teen choir, arts & crafts and Broadway workshops (singing/acting/dancing).

Vegetarian meals are available, and we offer a range of accommodations including private rooms, family rooms and camping. Bursaries are awarded annually to help less fortunate musicians participate in our summer programs.

Our objective is to create the perfect musical experience in which you can immerse yourself while having fun. While achieving this is no small feat, we are proud to say that newcomers often tell us that CAMMAC has changed their lives!
