At our core, we believe that the key to developing a lifelong passion is best captured by our camp mantra, “Motivate, don’t mandate.” By following this guiding principle, we are giving the camp experience back to the campers and allowing kids to choose the sports and activities of most interest to them, while also designing an intentional program that encourages them to discover something entirely new.
At Arrow Wood, we believe that a camp that honors the love of athletics is a place where a child learns what it means to be both competitive and compassionate.
Camp Arrow Wood empowers boys and girls not only to experience great success in their given passions, but also to explore new interests and the less familiar - allowing for the more well-rounded perspective that lead to great success in life.
We offer daily sport instruction in a core sport of choice (basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, field hockey, lacrosse, track, baseball, softball, and 7-a-side football.) Campers spend the first 90 minutes of their day getting better and playing the sport they love most.
The rest of the day is designed to introduce new passions into their lives. With a wide range of auxiliary activities, campers can spend the rest of their time throughout the day in our digital and media arts program, on the waterfront, on our outdoor adventure course or in our arts program.
One thing we know for sure is that our campers, who all share a love of sports, will have lots of time to play on the courts or fields of their choice.
