Camp TLC 2011 is featured by Behavior Therapy and Learning Center, inc. (Behavior TLC). Behavior TLC was founded by four Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA's) dedicated to providing an array of services utilizing the decades of research supporting applied behavior analysis (ABA). One service being offered is Camp TLC 2011. Camp TLC will provide campers a fun, outdoor learning environment where activities will promote social and play skills, life skills, fine and gross motor development and receptive and expressive language. Campers with special behavioral needs will also receive the support needed to be successful and are fully welcome.
Camp TLC 2011 will be directly supervised by two BCBA's and staffed with individuals seeking advanced degrees in behavior analysis. Camp TLC 2011 will also feature volunteers from local high schools who have previous experience in accompanying children with special needs on community outings. All staff will receive state mandated training on abuse prevention along with training in the use applied behavior analysis for promoting social/academic goals and positive behaviors.
When the school year ends you can allow your special needs child the experience of a summer camp which provides opportunities to interact with others, work as a team with peers, meet new challenges and promote confidence. Social interaction and the promotion of positive behaviors in a safe, fun and outdoor learning environment will make Camp TLC 2011 a wonderful place for your child to build many happy memories.
