CAMP PHILOSOPHY:  If you are looking for a smaller-sized traditional summer camp with extremely close owner supervision then Camp Woodmont is the place to be! Camp founders Jane and Jim Bennett built the camp knowing that parents are looking for a camp program that’s more than just a lot of fancy bells and whistles; and that a main reason parents send their children to camp is to develop real-life skills and self-reliance that will carry over into adulthood. Their legacy lives on through their daughter/camp director, Alyson Bennett Gondek. The bottom line is that we all want our children to become secure, well-adjusted youth and adults. That’s why one of the main focuses at Camp Woodmont is on developing relationships among the entire camp which foster the development of important life skills and personal growth.

ACTIVITIES:  Camp Woodmont features top-of-the-line facilities and awesome fun camp activities (like Western Trail Horseback Riding, Climbing Tower/High Ropes/400 foot zip line, Archery, Cheerleading, Acting/Drama, Dance, Sports, Swimming pool, Hiking/Wilderness Survival and Adventure, a Low Ropes Challenge Course, Night Programs and much more). As parents and camp professionals with over 50+ years of combined experience, we feel that an even more important aspect of summer camp is the interpersonal aspect of campers and staff learning to live together and thriving together in cabin groups, activity groups, and the larger overall camp group. Camp Woodmont’s philosophy is that the people and staff at the camp and how much they care about the campers and program are the most important factors to look for at a camp.

VALUE: We also offer you one of the best values in summer camping; our private traditional summer camp program offers a camp experience that rivals other camps with much more expensive programs. Plus you get the security of intense owner supervision with that hands-on touch that only a limited sized program like Camp Woodmont’s can offer.

CONTACT: If you are looking for awesome fun activities as well as a nurturing and caring environment for your child at camp we would love to talk more with you about summer camp.  Please call or stop by to visit if you are ever in the beautiful North Georgia area of Lookout Mountain.
