For over 50 years, Camp Wyoka has played host to thousands of girls from Southern Ontario area. Located in Huron County, Wyoka’s 85 acres of meadowlands, bush and wetlands all bank on the shore of the spring-fed Lakelet Lake. Wyoka is the perfect place for your camper to play-play-play in our safe surroundings. Girls don't have to be a member of Girl Guides to join in the fun!
Wyoka boasts the only rock climbing facility located on the side of a silo, in addition to woodland trails, a beach and a natural amphitheatre. There is the view of a million stars on a clear night, the chance to climb a vertical playground nestled among the trees, bounce on the water trampoline, learn to paddle a kayak or canoe near the sandy beach and just enjoy the great outdoors. At mealtimes, the campers come together for centralized outdoor dining at the outdoor Pines Pavilion.
Campers stay either in indoor or tent accommodation. Here is what those are like at Wyoka:
• Indoor - large indoor dorm-style rooms offer bunk beds or mattresses on the floor.
• Tent - each site has large canvas tents on wooden platforms which sleep 6-8 campers.
• Nearby, a centrally located campfire pit for campfire songs and snacks.
Our staff team is a happy, qualified and safety conscious group of young women who will ensure that every day is exciting, rewarding and packed with fun! We're sure your camper will come home with lots of positive comments about these friendly role-models.
Awesome things to do... Campers will participate in age-appropriate activities that may include: archery, boating activities, dance, daily swimming, nature photography, drama, hiking/geocaching, crafts, visual arts, camp-wide games, and the water trampoline. Each day will start with programming selected for your camper's age group and then will mix in a whole bunch of individual choice activities. It's the best way for girls to hang out with girls their age, sample all of our programming and also choose their own adventure.
Our traditional camper programs or specialty programs are excellent ways to fit in all that the camp has to offer. The program is different every year based on camper’s ages.
