For almost 70 years, Doe Lake has played host to thousands of girls from around the world. Near Huntsville Ontario, Doe Lake Camp features an expansive waterfront and trail system on 625 acres of property. The waterfront plays host to several boating programs and a sandy beach that is terrific for swimming and sandcastles. An amazing high-ropes course and climbing wall have been favourite spots for campers. Girls don't have to be a member of Girl Guides to join in the fun!
Campers stay either in indoor or tent accommodation. At Doe Lake indoor accommodations are campers in a room with three other girls in bunk beds and all of these buildings have common areas and washrooms. For tent accommodations we have a mixture of large canvas tents on platforms which sleep 6-8 campers as well as some smaller nylon tents which sleep 3-4 campers. There is a central campfire pit and a building for rainy day programming on each site.
Our staff team is a happy, qualified and safety conscious group of young women who will ensure that every day is exciting, rewarding and packed with fun! We're sure your camper will come home with lots of positive comments about these friendly role-models.
Awesome things to do... Campers will participate in age-appropriate activities that may include: archery, boating activities, dance, daily swimming, nature photography, drama, hiking/geocaching, crafts, visual arts, camp-wide games, and the water trampoline. Each day will start with programming selected for your camper's age group and then will mix in a whole bunch of individual choice activities. It's the best way for girls to hang out with girls their age, sample all of our programming and also choose their own adventure.
Campers at Doe Lake can attend our traditional camp programs or attend our specialty programs based on a camper’s age and interest.
