Eagle Creek summer camp offers children ages 6 to 16 a chance to enjoy a whole week of horses. Campers of all skill levels, from those who've never seen a horse before to those who've been riding for years, will be able to work on and refine their riding skills. The camp instructor is a formerly certified riding instructor in both english and western as well as a former elementary school teacher. Campers will learn how to groom the horse, tack up, everyday care of the horse, horse first aid, how to prepare for shows, etc. They will also learn to ride english and western. Beginning riders will work on balance, walk/trot, riding patterns, etc. Advanced riders will work on jumping, barrels, hunter/jumper, etc. We will spend at least 3 hours each day riding, with a demonstration for parents on Fridays.
